Mapping skills

Ancient Athens Brochures

We have been doing the amazing race for our ancient Athens unit! This week we will be doing a mapping challenge and creating a brochure about ancient Athens. Brochures will be homework over the weekend if not finished.

Week 2: December 11 - 15

Brochures Due

This week we will continue with our amazing race challenges. Brochures will be due on December 11th.

Week 3: December 18 - 22

Ancient Athens Unit Exam

Agora Day

We will be writing our unit exam on December 19th. On December 22nd we will be having agora day! The grade 6 hallway with turn into an agora (market place). Details about this will be sent home.

Week 1: October 3 - 6

Rights and Responsibilities

Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms

This week we will be learning about the difference between rights and Responsibilities. We will also be exploring the Canadian Charter or Rights and Freedoms.

Week 2: October 9 - 13

Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms Project due OCTOBER 13.

This week students will be working in groups to explain the different sections of the Charter. Groups will have the choice on how they present their information (video, poster, PowerPoint, skit, board game, ect.)

Week 3: October 16 - 20

Charter of Rights and Freedoms Presentations

This week the groups will be presenting their projects. The students who are not presenting will be responsible for recording 2 things they learned from each presentation and this will be collected for marks.

Week 4: October 23 - 27

History of Democracy

This week we will be starting a new unit on the history of Democracy.
